AWESOME! But maybe skip the Rainforest model for a basic one.

We own 2 of these regular non-rainforest high chairs, plus 1 with the rainforest toys for Grandma's house. It's love! But your probably don't need the rainforest version.We have limited space, so one of these is our permanent kitchen high chair, strapped securely onto one of our dining room chairs. It adjusts to 3 heights based on the chair's height from the table and the baby's size, and the tray comes with 3 pieces which are dishwasher safe (tray, divided tray insert, and a cover). The tray can also be put into 3 different distances from your baby's tummy depending on his clothing and size.The tray is very easy to get on and off in a hurry. This is good for when your child inevitably gags or chokes and you need to get to him in a hurry. Also, unlike other high chairs that we've used, he can't remove the tray himself. Some other styles of high chair have a pull latch on the front of the tray--which has the big design flaw of releasing when it's easily kicked!This folds into a nice, trunk-friendly bundle for carrying around in your car for visiting relatives, etc. The back of the seat has a handle for your hand, or you can use the under-chair strap as a shoulder strap for carrying. I also prefer to take it into restaurants to have the tray available instead of pushing a high chair up to a table. The snap-in tray cover keeps the food tray clean no matter what else is bouncing around in your trunk.Now we have a second basic one which permanently lives in the car until our next baby comes along, then we will have both our kids in these at the dining room table.When the baby becomes a toddler, you can stop using the tray and use it as a regular booster chair with the adjustable height for any chair/table height combo.We bought the rainforest version when we flew out to Grandma's house to keep there. It is super cute, but there is a VERY NARROW window of time in which your baby will be a) big enough to play with it and b) small enough to be interested in this instead of food. The toy insert is snap-in and easily removable. But, it does not get any more compact, which really increases the amount of space it takes up (if that's a concern for you). You can theoretically remove the toys from the "jungle" to conserve space, but they snap in very securely so it's a pain. So, when we traveled with Grandma and Grandpa to the beach, etc, the rainforest part stayed behind. Plus, our baby at 1 year old was too old to be interested in it for very long. He just wanted to eat and then get down and crawl/walk around instead of hanging out and playing with the toys. I hoped it would buy us some time at the table, but not at this age! Maybe for a younger baby.

Love it!

I got this when my daughter started having solids at 6 months old and she still uses it at 2 1/2 years. I did have to pad the chair with blankets when she was 6 months old to keep her from slumping. At 2 1/2, she is 29 lbs and 34 inches and sits comfortably in it. I can see her using it for a lot longer as a booster chair as well. It is definitely not small as one reviewer mentioned. Of course, all that depends on each child. It is very well made and has been with us on many trips, both domestic and international. My daughter has several allergies so this chair goes everywhere with us. The toy insert keeps younger babies occupied and is cute. The only problem I found with the toy insert was the paper stickers that started peeling off with continued use and washing.pros: well made, good quality grows with baby (adjustable table and height and chair back can be removed) easy to clean (just wipe chair with clorox wipes, table can be put in dishwasher or easily hand washed) easy to use while holding baby in one hand light and easy to travel with fits on most chairs toy insert keeps baby busycons: paper stickers peel off with continued washing straps tend to get gunky, especially if you have a very messy baby (think chicken puree everywhere)...not a huge problem though since you can just take out the straps and wash them. I let them sit in a cup of vinegar for a while before rinsing them out, takes care of both stains and smells!Update: My daughter, who is now 4, still fits comfortably in her booster seat and enjoys sitting at the dining table with us. The height is just right for her to eat at the dining table(she is 33 lbs and 40 inches!). This seat truly grows with your child!

cute but not practical

I bought this seat because we have two other items from this this line (the gym mat and the jumperoo). It looks cute and the toys also made it more appealing to me. The downside was that it is frustrating to operate. The tray snaps into three places depending on the size of your baby. It is not easy to adjust the tray or remove it if you are holding your baby. Locking it into place also is not as easy. Although it has three adjustable height positions, even on the highest, I felt it was too short for my daughter. The toys are nice but for smaller babies. Mine is 8 months and she has limited interest in them. I would opt for something a lot more user-friendly.

I did so much research before deciding on a high chair, my baby was already 13 months when I purchased this product. So far, so good. If you are looking for a chair with lots of bells and whistles this ain't it. However, if you need a basic high chair that is sturdy, versatile and easy to clean with a fairly small footprint then this is 4 U! I was originally considering a chair that was over three times the price of this one. However, it had no recline feature and only a five point harness. The SimpleSwitch provides 2-position recline and the option of using the five point or three point harness. This chair is easy to assemble. However, just pay attention to the marking on the legs. They are not all the same. My bad:) The tray is easily removed with one hand. It is nice and large. You can position it pretty snug against the baby so there is minimum food in their lap after mealtime. I have a counter height table. So I was concerned that the chair would be too short. However, its tall enough so baby feels included in family meals. The cover is easy to remove and wash. Also, the booster seat can be placed on your chair when child is old enough. Furthermore it's good for traveling. You can throw the booster seat in your trunk. The legs snap into the footrest for convenient storage. What more can you ask for the price?

A great buy!

We really appreciate this high chair for many reasons. First starting with the assembly, the instructions were very clear and the reviews were mostly correct such that it's easy to follow the instructions, lying underneath helps with assembly and the hard parts are not that hard at all.The appearance is adorable. I love the natural colors and the pattern on the chair seat. It's really cute and soothing. The removable tray makes clean up very easy.The seatbelts are easy to use and adjustable. The tray slides forward using two different mechanisms as needed and snaps into place securely. The actual chair itself is not too bulky nor does it take up too much space even with the seat reclined completely.The three positions makes life so...much easier when the baby wants to sit forward to eat or play and when he is tired or wants to relax with his bottle while I'm cooking dinner.I also love that there are handles on the sides and on the back of the chair that make it easy to move around.I definitely recommend this chair for all of the above reasons.

Plastic, practical, and perfect

Before my son was born, I was convinced that I would be able to get by without purchasing ANY ugly, plastic, baby contraptions. I purchased the Svan high chair thinking it was the most beautiful high chair in the world (and yes, I actually did think that at the time). I had pored over the reviews for that and the Stokke chair, and snapped up a great deal on a certain popular auction site for a used chair. I set it up and spent several weeks admiring it in my dining room, feeling smug that it was wood and not plastic.Fast forward about 10 months and my son is now eating in a highchair for the first time. We had been using his Baby Bjorn Babysitter to feed him, but now that he is sitting up on his own, he kept trying to lean forward to eat. I put him in the Svan, and after the second try I could see it was not a good match. With him pitching back and forth (the tray does not push up to the baby so food and anything else can fall in the lap) and very little back support, I suddenly did not like the design. He sits in an el cheapo plastic highchair just fine at daycare. I suddenly realized why people buy the plastic chairs.I took that chair right back to where it came from, and auctioned it off to some other poor, unsuspecting sucker who just wants their dining room to look like they don't have kids. Then I hopped on Amazon and bought the high chair I should have purchased in the first place. I'm really much, much happier with this one. He can still sit perfectly upright in this like the Svan, but he can also recline with a bottle if he or I would like. He can hang out in this and play with toys while I make dinner. He can eat in it without pitching back and forth because it has high enough back support to actually lean into and the tray is adjustable forward and back. The harness is much easier to use than the Svan. I like that this chair does not have a fixed crotch bar, but instead the bar is attached to the tray. This means you can actually adjust it so he can use it longer, and when you take the tray off to use it as a booster, the crotch bar will not be in the way. I have not used this on a chair, and probably won't, but I like that it has the option.So here I am, humbled by a very useful hunk of plastic with an animal print seat cover. It's not fancy. There is no removable, dishwasher-safe tray cover. There are no wheels, the footrest does not adjust, and it doesn't match my dining room furniture.I love it.

Great little couch!

I bought this couch for my granddaughter for her birthday. She loves it as does her older sister, they sit during TV time eating popcorn and looking so comfortable. The material is easy to clean and the construction seems very sturdy.

Great couch but fabric not kid friendly

So I love this couch design, it is well made BUT, literally hours after we put it in our living room it looked like we had owned it for months! It shows every little piece of lint, food and CAT HAIR. I'm usually much more strategic with my purchases but I blew it on this one. The fabric is way to dark for toddlers, in my opinion, absolutely do not purchase if you have indoor cats or dogs, unless they don't shed! I allow my 18 month old to eat crackers and similar foods on this and it shows every little crumb! I have cleaned it multiple times and looks dirty again within hours. Wish I could have returned but hubby took box to recyclers right after we opened it! Bummer! Looked into getting it reupholstered, $120! It is a perfect size for my 4 year old and 18 month old. Not sure I'd recommend for over age 6, this is a smaller couch.

Organic cover fabric does NOT an organic sofa make. People truly concerned about the contents of their furniture enough to buy organic do not want "flame retardant foam" in their furniture.In 2006, researchers at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission cautioned that adding chlorinated tris to furniture would expose children to nearly twice the daily dose deemed acceptable by the federal agency. The cancer risk for children during the first two years of life would be seven times higher than what most physicians, scientists and regulators consider acceptable, according to the safety commission's report.This is one of the most common types of flame retardant used in furniture these days. It was banned from children's pajamas back in the 70s as a mutagen and is now known to be a potent carcinogen.According to the Chicago Tribune article: " The average American baby is born with 10 fingers, 10 toes and the highest recorded levels of flame retardants among infants in the world. The toxic chemicals are present in nearly every home, packed into couches, chairs and many other products. Two powerful industries -- Big Tobacco and chemical manufacturers -- waged deceptive campaigns that led to the proliferation of these chemicals, which don't even work as promised."Caveat Emptor!! (Buyer beware!)Good luck in the search for a truly safe and/or organic sofa, all you people who are concerned about such things.

Finally, the perfect high chair!

I was very happy to be see this chair offered. My daughter is almost 7 months and I have tried other conventional high chairs and do not like them. The other standard high chairs take up so much room. Even if they fold up and are portable they weigh a lot and always slide apart when moving from room to room. Most high chairs sit so far out from the wall you have to walk around them. I live in a smaller place and have a small two seater dinning table with two drop leafs so I was happy to try this.It came with a few more pieces than I thought it would but assembly was not hard at all. The instructions were not that clear, however, it was self explanatory on how to assemble. Once I had it built I was so impressed with it. I tried it out with my daughter, 6 months, with the sticker still on the tray. I was able to pull her up to the table with me. The great thing is you are able to remove the tray and push the chair up to the table and it is the perfect height. My daughter was sitting at the table with us instead of by herself. You could tell she likes feeling more included.One thing my daughter never has liked is being strapped in. A lot of straps are also really harsh material and dig into their neck or skin even if not tightened. I love the straps/harness for this chair. Very easy to adjust and does not bother her one bit. The thing I love, you can tell by my photos I am adding, that once the harness is on her with a bib, you cannot see the straps. I have not had to worry about her getting her favorite food, sweet potatoes, all over them.I own another conventional high chair that claimed to have a swing out tray. I hated that high chair and the tray did not swing out. The company stated you can hold you baby while opening the chair. It never worked for me. The other you had to hold the button it, push it, line it up, you name it. This one, I can hold my daughter who is 20 lbs. and pull the tray out. It is right under the front of the tray and is so easy to maneuver. I then put the tray on the table and place the baby in the chair and strap her in. Once strapped in I slide the tray back on and she knows it is time for food.Another great feature that I am sure they did not add but I have used, is the extra footsteps come in so handy. If I am feeding her with a kitchen chair facing her I cannot place her food onto the highchair without her knocking it over and also need easy access to a washcloth in case her face gets messy. In come the footsteps. Since her feet just dangle over the edge I place her bowl of food and washcloth (dry) on the steps. It is so nice to have them right under me and out of her reach.If I could have designed a highchair, this would be it. It has more features and use than I though it would have. I am so happy my daughter has many years to grow with it. If the foam backing and sides do not hold up or I want to change the color I may do so by ordering the OXO Tot Sprout Chair Replacement Cushion Set, Orange . My chair comes with the green but they also have orange or taupe.Last, the chair is incredibly sturdy. It does not tilt back or forth or left to right, very stable. I am trying to think of any cons but everyday I think of more features I like about the chair. I consider myself a very picky person but this chair is remarkable! Please see the photo gallery for comparison to the conventional high chair and also photos of my daughter in it.Added August 17th, 2011. This high char is still in the best one out there. I use it three times a day for my daughter who will now be 10 months in a few days. I wanted to add a few things. My daughter has a bad gag reflux and has thrown up her whole meal in the high chair. It got in the straps, the plastic, you name it. However, I was able to wash the straps in the washing machine. I have done so with the straps several times and they come out looking like new! Also, if vomit or wet food gets in the plastic, it is easy to disassemble and clean the parts and place them back together. The part between her legs that the tray slides onto has been covered in vomit. I removed the screws at the bottom and clean the plastic pieces, waited for them to dry and put the screws back in. The chair is good as new! A lot of high chairs you would be stuck with food in the chair, not with this one. They truly thought of everything with this one. Again, being a perfectionist and clean freak I love this chair.Update on September 8, 2012: My daughter will be 2 next month and the chair is still going strong! I have removed the shoulder straps since she was getting them dirty with all of her meals and I had to clean them in the washer every night. Without the shoulder straps she wears a toddler bib with a food pocket to catch any food. I still use the tray and pull her up to the table and have her sit next to me that way. With the tray attached and always under supervision, she is safe.Her feet used to dangle and now sit on the step. She is about 3 feet tall now and 33 lbs. I still just gently wipe any food particles from the steps with a light damp cloth so it does not damage the wood.The biggest issue I have had and it seems other owner has had as well is food getting under the pad. With my daughter being almost 2 and eating more types of food, a lot of it ends up on the side or the bottom pad. I am really good about wiping the top of the pad off and removing the pad if she gets any underneath it. I use warm water and soap on a sponge and gently clean it off the underside which is felt like. It looks like new. However, my problem has been the three adhesive circles the pad has to attach to. Wet food gets under the pad and trying to clean it out of the adhesive parts, well, it smeared and made it worse. After awhile I could smell it. I tried cleaning it with a soapy sponge but it seemed to only touch the top surface. After a commenter wrote that they were going to use a toothbrush for their cleaning I saw I vegetable scrubber under my sink and decided to give that a go on the adhesive circles. I took warm water and some soap and turned it in a circular motion. It did loosen the food very well! I was surprised I did not think of cleaning it that way sooner. I might replace the three adhesive parts if they continue to get dirty. If I do that, the chair will look like it did the day I got it.Over all I cannot say enough great things about this highchair. My mother has a highchair for my daughter at her house and it just seems so bulky and big. I love the OXO chair because it grows with your child. My daughter started using it at only a few months and will be 2 years next month. The chairs looks great as well, I get many compliments on it. I also have matched it up to the OXO dinnerware such as OXO Tot Plate, Green, OXO Tot Divided Plate, Green, OXO Tot Fork and Spoon Set, Green, OXO Tot Feeding Spoon Set, Aqua, just to name a few. I get them all in green to match her chair. I still love this highchair.Added January 30, 2013: My daughter is now 2 years and 3 months; this is the only chair we still use! It shows little to no signs of wear on the wood at all. There are a few small nicks from moving it around or from me vacuuming up near it, so small though you cannot see it. All white parts are still white! I still use the tray but have removed ALL of the straps. The bottom strap I had to remove the middle plastic part but ended up being a blessing because I cleaned it when I removed it. There was some food stuck in the center part. I cleaned it with some soapy water and let it air dry before putting the screws back in it on the chair. The only thing that has changed is the chair is not as stable. My daughter is almost 40 pounds but does get excited and shakes the chair back and forth. I am assuming that is the reason. I thought perhaps the chair needed to be tightened so tightened all the screws and it still wobbles a bit. There are screws under the chair area as well that I tightened and it still wobbles. I literally tightened ever screw on the chair. I did not want to tighten it too much because you will hear the wood start to creak/crack which is too much pressure. Over the last few months I have had to remove the bottom chair pad to clean food under it and also wipe the underside of the pad with a warm soapy sponge and let it air dry. It is like new putting it back! I don't see myself having to replace the pads at all due to use. They look new and clean well. The adhesive parts they stick to I wish I could remove but they are covered so I am OK with that. Another think if you have a climbing toddler they might try to climb into the chair. Twice my daughter was just in the highchair and I did not understand how. I asked her to show me and she climbed the stairs like a ladder and over the tray and then slid it. I put an end to that right away since it was very unsafe. Wanted to warn other parents in case you see your child in the chair wondering how they got into it. It is not OXO's problem, toddlers will climb. Now knowing how she did it I keep the chair in a corner she can't get to. Still have years with this chair and will continue to update it as I see fit.

The main advantage of the chair, is its ability to "transition" for each stage of your little one's life (well at least till they are about 5). The chair makes a great high chair, but falls short on the toddler section. For the price, this may make you think twice. Where it falls short: the removable center seat post is required for the harness. There is no 5 to 3 point, or even a 2 point (regular seat belt) option. For this money, OXO should have thought of this. I would love to see an additional option to purchase (or include it... really that would be best) different seat restraints. My toddlers didn't really need a 5 point harness, but a simple seat belt would be great.As a youth chair it works fine (my 4 year old does just great in it). But my 2 1/2 year old is not so good. He has to sit back to eat with the harness and the middle seat post in place. We don't feel comfortable just letting him sit without any restraint yet, and the only option is either 5 point, or nothing. So that is where this chair really disappoints.Finally, it is also really expensive. We were using the Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat, Red/White in blue / green on a simple dining room chair. It worked great and we simply never removed it. As long as you really secure it, it seems to work fantastic. As always - you need to keep an eye on your kids at the table in any chair, and this one along with the OXO requires adult supervision. But what really is great about the fisher price set , is the height adjustability, the dishwasher safe tray, the 3 point harness for little ones that no longer need a 5 point (about every 9 month old or so) harness, and of course the price. You could buy almost 10 of the fisher price seats for the cost of 1 OXO tot.So if the 250 is steep or your parents didn't get you one during the baby shower, you might consider a solid dining room chair with the fisher price (secured properly) booster as a solid alternative.

Great high chair

This is a great high chair! When I was shopping for high chairs, I wanted something that would look nice, without the gaudy rainforest patterns, so I narrowed down my choices to the Tripp Trapp, the Keekaroo, and the Oxo Tot Sprout. I ruled out the Tripp Trapp because it did not come with a tray, and if I wanted to use it with an infant of 4+ months, I'd have to buy another expensive infant insert that did not look at all comfortable. I had also read some negative reviews about the chair tipping backwards. The Keekaroo looked very similar to the Tripp Trapp and came with a tray, but the tray was made of wood with lots of cracks to hide food and required two hands to put on and take off. I decided on the Sprout chair and I'm really glad I did! I used this chair when my baby was 4 months old and he is now almost 11 months and we are going strong. So my review applies to babies who are very little and need a lot of support, but I have no experience yet with toddlers.PROSReally nice design, is not an eye sore in my kitchenPlastic seat and cushions are easy to wipe clean and comfortable to sit inCrotch post keeps baby from submarining under the chairShoulder harness (the Tripp Trapp etc only has a waist belt) keeps a squirmy baby from crawling out of the chair, and a younger baby from flopping over.Good sized plastic tray, ONE HANDED RELEASE (so important when you have a baby in one arm, and the tray in the other!!!)The seat is height adjustableI like to rest my foot on the foot rest--great for mama, good for baby when he is old enough to climb into the chair himself.CONSThis chair is advertised to slide up to the dinner table to allow toddlers to eat with the grown ups, just like the Tripp Trapp and the Keekaroo. You just lower the seat and remove the post. However, unlike the TT and the KK, this chair has arms which might hit the table and prevent the chair from sliding all the way under the table. The height of the arms of the Sprout chair, at the lowest setting, is 26". Please measure the bottom of your table to make sure this chair can fit under your table. You need at least 26" of clearance. My table has a "pocket" under the table to hold extra leaves, and the arms of the Sprout hits against the "pocket" and does not slide all the way under the table. When it comes time for my baby to use this chair as a real chair, we may be forced to raise the table 0.5" or cut the legs of this high chair, but hopefully by then we will have another baby who can use this chair as is!The tray traps water inside the cracks so after you wash it, you can hear water swishing around. I shake the tray violently to get the water out.The straps and the clips seem really cheap for a high chair that is otherwise such high quality. The straps have a tendency to twist.Overall, in spite of these cons, this is still a great chair and I have no regrets in my purchase of it.

Graco almost had it right but horrible tray design

I had very specific things I was looking for in a high chair.-Dishwasher safe removable tray top-Machine washable seat pad-Non-cartoony looking fabric-Wide variety of adjustments (height, tray, footrest)-Maneuverability-Collapsibility (easy to store)I thought I had found everything I was looking for in the Graco TableFit but after having it for less than a week, I am returning it. My main issue with the chair is the tray system. There is a snack tray plus the standard slide-on tray (plus a tray insert). The snack tray is such a pain! I can't leave it in place and get my 8 month old daughter in the seat. I keep hitting her shin on the tray. Without the snack tray, I can easily set her in the seat, and then safety belt her in. Adding the snack tray becomes a burden after she is in the seat because her hands are everywhere and it takes two hands to safely insert the snack tray into the tabs on the seat. It's so easy to pinch her hand in between the snack tray and seat or pinch her leg between the crotch bar (attached to the bottom of the snack tray) and the seat. Since both your hands are busy trying to get the snack tray fastened in place, you really need another person to ensure you aren't going to harm your child in some way. After the snack tray is in place, you can slide the top tray in place, which isn't easily done either because it often doesn't properly line up with the slots on the snack tray (which hold the top tray in place).After the meal is over, the same problems arise again. You need to remove the top tray, set it aside, then remove the snack tray (which takes two hands to remove) and set it aside to retrieve your child (who you better have buckled in because you have to set that snack tray down before you can do anything else). If you try to remove the whole top tray/snack tray assembly at once before removing your child from the seat then you: a) dump all remaining food in your child's lap and b) smack your child in the face with the trays. If you try to remove your child while the snack tray is still in place, you scrape your child's legs with the underside of the snack tray.Storage is another issue. The high chair does seem to fold relatively flat (if all trays are removed) but then you have to store both trays in a separate location (as the chair does not have storage hooks for them). If you store either tray on the chair when folded, you really don't save a lot of space because those trays stick out so far.The only other complaint I have about the high chair is the fabric. I purchased the "Rittenhouse" color. You can't tell in the pictures, but the black fabric has the look and feel of faux leather or pleather. This alone was something I could deal with (since it did seem to wipe so easily) but I wish I would have known about the fabric beforehand.I really liked the other features of this chair and wish I could have made the dang tray system work for me. The variety of adjustments was rather impressive. The cleanability of the entire chair was quite nice. Also, I had no real problems with assembly. I will say getting the backrest tabs into the holes on the seat bottom was a bit difficult, but I didn't have the problems that some had. And I liked knowing this thing wasn't going to fall apart with my squirmy daughter who loves to rock and bounce.If you decide to get the chair, do yourself a favor and take a picture of how it's arranged in the box before assembly and save all packaging for at least a month. You may very well need it...

Tall enough for a bar height table

Piece of cake to put together... took 13 minutes only two screws. The chair comes in a cardboard tray. Open the top of the box , lay the box on the floor then pull out cardboard tray. Read the directions first. Easy to use once assembled. Easy to load the children into the chair.. The selling point for us was the adjustable height, we were concerned it would not be tall enough for our bar height dinning table... it is perfect for the table. The chair exceeds all of our expectations. We recommend to everyone..

A good value with many nice features

Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Easy to move around. Seems well padded and comfortable. Easy to clean. There is a feeding tray insert that lifts out and can be washed separately. I like the adjustable height. Although I tend to use it in the lowest position, during family gatherings it's nice to be able to bring the baby up to the table (somewhat like a Stokke Tripp Trapp). The harness is easy to use. The height and tray adjustments are easy to use.The main tray snaps onto the snack tray. You cannot use it without the snack tray in place. The snack tray itself can be removed easily, but to convert it to just a chair (without any trays), both trays must be removed separately.When in use, it takes up more space than my Peg Pergo highchair and it does not fold up well for storage between use.I think this is a good highchair and a very good value.

Best table ever! I have been looking for this table for my daughter! I had it as a child and I wish my parents saved it because I used it ALLL the time. I found it! Im so excited child hood memories are coming back and I am excited to buy it for my daughter. Lemonade stands coloring, eating laying under and watching t.v.. BEST table. There is no table out there like it!!

Bought this for my toddler and very happy about it. It appears to be a great quality, sturdy but lightweight at the same time. This table is really great for small space living, when he's done playing we can just fold it and it disappears under the bed, or fits just right in the gap between the dresser and the wall.

convenient table

Got this when I was a college student and needed a table and still have it 20 years later. Great quality and wonderful to pop out whenever you need it or fold up and store between the back of your sofa or any other space. Easy to transport to the beach or park I love it so much!

My son LOVES his chair!

I had wanted to get my 14 mth old son his own little chair for quite sometime, I LOVED the ones at pottery barn, but after seeing two of them. I was very disappointed at how they were made and also not pleased with how pricey they were. They are def. not as nice as these chairs. I found this one from fantasy furniture and it is very well made, nice looking, comfy and so much bigger than I expected. My son attempts to push his EVERYWHERE he goes. He even takes it outside on the patio and he loves to nap in it!!! Great chair and doesn't look cheap at ALL!!!!

Great value for the price

I purchased the "Blue Flower" design for my son who is 12 months old and is fascinated with a wicker chair at daycare. I wanted something sturdy as he is a big boy (24 lbs and wearing 24 month clothing). He immediately went over and checked it out climbing up on it with his knees and then sitting down. I do not think he can hurt himself on it but any parent would not take their eyes off their child when something new has joined the toy section of the room. I did not realize that the fabric on the seat portion was pink gingham but I anticipate using a blanket "which can be tucked in" on the seat portion to avoid "milk spills". The arm fabric is green gingham and otherwise looks very BOYish. The batting under the fabric is very plush but this chair has hard wooden feet which will damage your hardwood floors if your child likes to push anything that slides "like mine". I would recommend to the manufacturer to replace the feet with suction cups to keep the chair from tipping over or felt pads which are kinder to wood floors. Overall I love the chair and I can see my son using it for quite a while as it is sized larger than most that I researched.

Perfect for little ones

I got this for my 7 month old daughter who was wanting more independence (not so much lap time), but not wanting to be on her mat on the floor. We're both loving it. The seat is wide enough for her and several toys, and deep enough that she doesn't tumble out unless she really tries (which she sometimes does). Even when she does, it's low enough to not cause any serious injury. I keep a throw pillow or two in front of it to prevent the minor boo-boos. She sits up well on her own, but still has the occasional wobble and tip over, so the back and arms give her excellent support.The chair is quite well made, and pretty easy for me to move around wherever I want it. I anticipate it being a comfy place for my daughter for another couple of years. It's fantastic now, and has quite a bit of room for her to grow, too. I'm very pleased with it.

Decent high chair

I got this high chair about a month ago as a second highchair when my twins began eating solids. I already had the BabyTrend and was looking for a few key improvements that this chair provided. Overall, I've been pretty happy with it with a few disappointments. Considering the price, though, I can live with the shortfalls.Pros:1. Vinyl seat cover. The seat cover can be wiped down, yet does not feel plastic-y. This is a major improvement over the fabric cover on my old highchair which, though machine washable, is so difficult to remove and replace, it hardly gets washed.2. Removable tray insert. This makes cleanup easy -- just stick in the dishwasher or rinse in the sink.3. Smaller seat. This is a good thing for now, because my 9-month-old (and smallish) babies don't get swallowed up in the seat, like they do in my old chair. This may not be so great when they're older, though.4. Easy-open straps. The straps can be opened with one click (one hand), which is useful when I'm holding one baby and trying to extricate the other. Again, though, this may not be so good when they figure out how to open it themselves...5. When the tray is removed, there is a sort of mini-tray beneath it which is at the perfect height for a baby first learning to pick up Cheerios. This is really great when they're at the age when you're still mostly spoon-feeding, because you can take off the tray to reach them easily, yet there's still a little tray for them.6. Seems well-padded and comfortable.Cons:1. The tray insert comes off too easily. I could see a child popping it off and flinging it on the floor. Food included, natch.2. The back wheels stick out way too far beyond the chair back. I feel like I'm always tripping over/banging into the thing.3. The chair back, which has 3 recline positions, can be moved forwards too easily. Whenever somebody knocks into the back of the chair (see above), the back moves to a more upright position.Overall, I've been happy with the chair with the few gripes mentioned. I really love that mini tray, though!

Baby high chair

The various height levels of this high chair are great..... but the front does not open up all the way. The tray comes off, but underneath the gray tray is a molded piece that does not open up. You must slide the baby in and out from the top. If your baby has chubby legs, it is difficult to get him in and out of this high chair.

I wouldn't have purchased it, had I known.

I purchased this highchair for my daughter in 2008. I bought the entire "clara" design collection. The high chair, although adorable, was more of a pain than a benefit.Pros:The high chair reclines, which is wonderful when your baby falls asleep in it. Just recline it, grab a blanket and it's gone from snack time to nap time.The high chair is attractive and fairly easy to clean.It folds up for compact storage. (See Cons)Cons:The space that is meant for you to place your child's legs in, is very small. It does not open and so once your baby reaches around one years old getting them in and out of the high chair becomes a pain. I had to teach my daughter how to stand up in the high chair (NOT WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO BE TEACHING A CHILD.) Just so that she could get her legs out of the holes without us having to struggle.Although the highchair does fold up, it does not stand up once folded. I found this to be more of a hassle than it was worth, because when we tried to lean it up against the wall it would usually just fall.Over all, had I known anything about high chairs or toddlers for that matter I would not have chosen this chair. Whatever high chair you decide to purchase I strongly recommend you check it out in person. Take the table off of it and make sure the area your child will be sitting in is a functionable space.I am pregnant with my second child and I am hoping to get a new high chair. I just don't want to have to fight with this one again.
