Best stroller I have ever owned

I have had my stroller for a few months now. I love it still. I have owned the Graco travel system, a BoB stroller, a MacLaren Triumph and borrowed a friends Stokke stroller for several months. The Contours Options 3 Wheeler is my favorite. I have an older child (3 years old) with physical hardships.*I love that she can get in and out when she feels like walking.*I LOVE THAT THE HANDLE BAR IS HIGH, as I'm 5'10 and hate bending over a lot for other strollers. This stroller has a wide wheel base in the back, which is great because I don't kick it. There have been a few times it's been hard to get through clothes racks at the store, but other than that it's fine. It did take me a few times using it to adjust to the width.*I love how easily it pushes regardless if the front wheel is locked.*My daughter loves her own cup holder, as do I. I love that the parent tray is sturdy with 2 drink holders and a middle pocket. I wish it had a locked cover like the Jeep jogging stroller, but it's not an issue.* The storage basket is easy to access and big.*It was easy to assemble with directions and common sense.* I LOVE LOVE LOVE that the sunshade is tall and my daughters head doesn't touch it.*I get compliments on the look/style often. It looks and functions like a high end stroller yet it doesn't break the bank account.Overall, I have used and abused my stroller and it has held up really well. I wish this was the first stroller I ever bought. I have highly recommended it to many friends as well.

... is it better than our 5 year old Graco Metrolite?First of all, after unpacking the box, you'll realize there are 17 pieces you have to put together by snapping and/or securing with screws. Fortunately, one simple screwdriver does the trick and the whole assembly took around 30 minutes. (I will note that I am used to assembling lots of things from furniture to small engine yard machines.) All the pieces were present in the box and there were even some screws/pins given as extras.The stroller is quite sturdy and moves around very easily. The frame will even stand by itself when folded since it can balance on it's third wheel.Some of the good features of this stroller:1. Two cup holders and tray for the adult, one cup holder for the kid.2. The handle bar can be reached easily by TALL people.3. The universal car seat holder fit my Graco Snugride just fine.4. It's easy to pop out the universal car seat holder and the Contour seat from the frame.5. Underseat basket has good clearance from the ground.6. The metal and fabric on this stroller are all sturdy and nice with good stitching/high quality.7. Canopy has a small clear window on top so you can see your kid from behind (it has a closeable flap).Some of the less-than-good features:1. There are essentially 3 separate main parts to the stroller, the frame, Contour seat, universal car seat holder - this takes up a lot of space. In fact, just the frame and Contour seat take up the whole trunk of my Highlander.2. The belt buckle for the car seat holder snaps together easily, but is hard to adjust the length. Unfortunately, the strap length needs to be adjusted if you want to flip the car seat front versus rear facing.3. The handle bar is not adjustable.4. The brake bar is easy to use, but is secured by a total of 4 screws to a piece of plastic... we'll see how long this lasts.5. If you valet check-in this stroller at the airport, I predict the Contour seat will not withstand the luggage abuse very well.6. The canopy does not extend very far, your kid is going to get a lot of sun exposure.Compared to other strollers that are many hundreds of dollars more, this is a terrific value. It's stylish, works well, and is well built with many good features. For a value conscience shopper, this stroller blows away it's more expensive rivals. But our Graco Metrolite will continue to be placed in our Highlander.. why? It's smaller (takes up only half the trunk floor space), a little lighter, and does not require you to take it apart to fold up. You pull it out, unfold it, and there is your complete stroller. From out of the trunk to the ground, there is no comparison in the time it takes to setup the Metrolite compared with the Contour stroller. And while I like the more beefy and sturdier Contour stroller very much, it's the kind of stroller I'd use for neighborhood walks, or pack in a minivan. Otherwise, the Metrolite is just a more convenient stroller to take around in the car and/or use at the airport.(Pictures posted of the Contour parts and Contour/Metrolite stroller side by side.)

Decent but not great

Plusses:~ Absolutely darling, great color and design (I get compliments all the time!)~ Good directional controls, i.e. you can turn quickly and easily~ Rear & Front facing options, which is a big bonusMinusses:~ Awful to put together (unhelpful & confusing b/w photos in manual)~ Wheels look pneumatic (rubber tires filled with air), but they are really a hard plastic with a thin rubber stripe in the center~ Not a super-smooth ride because of hard wheels~ Stops short on uneven curbs (can't "climb" a ledge more than 2")Overall, not a bad stroller, but I could see some easy improvements from the manufacturer, beginning with the manual. I came from using the Jeep Liberty stroller which was super for climbing curbs & ledges because it had real pneumatic tires. I was disappointed that this didn't ride better, but I'm supposing it's mainly because of these cheaper tires. It's just going to be something to get used to.

My boys love it. They are 4 and 2 and this table is just the right size for them to be able to work on. The color of the finish is very nice and we didn't have any trouble putting it together, as some of the other review mention.

Couldn't be happier

I ordered this table for my daughter's 3rd birthday. I spent a lot of time looking at hundreds of table and chair sets. I wanted something that was going to grow with her and definitely last for years. Plus I wanted something that was going to fit into my family room...wasn't up to having a cheap looking character table set. This table and chair are perfect!!! So easy to put together and she loves to sit there and draw or sit her "babies" in the chairs and cook them dinner. It is very well made...the shipping costs made me think twice but in the end I am glad I ordered it. Definitely worth the money...a great set!!

Solid product

This is a solid, well built piece of furniture. The quality is great and it looks like it will last a long while. A trick to getting the screws in easier is to rub a little soap on the threads before you put them in the screw holes.

Original version better

We have the original version of this chair (which amazon sells for $27.99) and love it. The only reason we decided to buy this deluxe version is because we wanted a 5-pt harness for added safety.Two things I do NOT like about this chair: (1) Seems to be smaller in size. We put our 17 lb. son in it and it looks like he will outgrow it before long. I compared it to our original version and the seat back is indeed more narrow. (2) The tray is more difficult to attach as compared to the original version. The plastic also seems to be flimsy where it attaches to the seat.The only positive about this chair is that the type of fabric on the seat cushions will be easier to clean. This is not enough of a reason for us to keep the chair, however, so we will be returning it.

Comparison between the First Years Deluxe Seat and the Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Seat

I recently purchased the Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat (for $26 dollars from Amazon). The same weekend, my mother purchased The First Years Deluxe Reclining Feeding Seat for $39.99 from Target. This is my comparison of the two chairs.The Fisher-Price chair (I bought the red/white version) was VERY easy to assemble. I didn't need to read directions. I just put it together very quickly and logically. (Whew, that was easy!) The straps came attached to the chair. It seems secure and it is very easy to clean. There are no nooks and crannies! The tray has a lid, which is pretty cool. You can actually take the food tray off, put the lid on it, and put it in the refrigerator! (Cool!) My 18 lb 7 month old seems to like the chair. Plus, the price was very nice!The First Years Deluxe Seat was not easy to put together. I had to refer to the directions. It took me a good 20 minutes. The directions were a bit confusing too (and I like to think that I'm pretty smart!). The straps had to be threaded through some little holes on the chair to attach them. They didn't seem very secure. A small child could easily remove them, maybe even a toddler. After it was all together, it seemed like it was going to be ok. It secured to the chair and seems pretty easy to clean (but not as easy as the Fisher-Price chair). It does recline, but this isn't a feature that I need as my son sits up very well on his own and won't lay back in the chair. He seems comfy in the chair. It has a 5 point harness, but I felt like it was a bit of overkill. I don't plan on leaving him in the chair unsupervised.For my use, the Fisher Price chair is a much better deal. It is easier to put together and clean and has some features that I like.

Easy and convenient!

Very happpy with the product and its performance. Light weight, very portable, easy to clean. I love that it can tilt back or sit straight up with ease. Only con about it is the tray is not very easy to lock into place, which can be a challenge when struggling with a six month old who is fighting you for his food.

Disappointed

I purchased this highchair because Consumer Reports gave it a great review. It also has a removable lining making it easy to clean. Everything was great for appoximately 8 weeks. My daughter is now unable to sit up in the chair because the back of the chair is unable to stay in the upright position. It remains fully reclined and my daugher is far away from the food tray. I tried to use pillows as a prop but that is a safety issue because I can't strap her into the chair. Needless to say it started just after Amazon's return policy expired.

Perfect for our big boy!

Our son is above the 99th percentile in both height and weight so when I researched support seats I paid close attention to the reviews on fit. I found that most reviews said the Bumbo is snug, so I asked a friend of mine to try their Bumbo. At just four months old it was too tight on our son's legs and tummy. Several reviews said that the Prince Lionheart BebePOD was more spacious, and they were right. Our son sits comfortably in this seat, and is well supported. We purchased the Upgrade Tray which is an okay addition (it wiggles a bit at the connection and isn't very big). I knew I didn't want the Boost Plus because I didn't like that the toy attachment left grooves for food to get stuck. So we purchased a suction cup toy to attach to the Upgrade Tray. It works okay, but I wish the tray was bigger and held still.

A friend recommended getting a bumbo seat for my five month old who still needs support sitting up. I read the reviews for it, and some people said that their babies thighs were too chubby for it and said this one was slightly bigger. I also loved that that this seat came with a tray that you could purchase separately. It straps so that you can use it as a booster seat strapped to a chair. I also purchased some of those rotating toys that have a suction cup to put on the tray which he loves. It comes in really handy to place him in this on one of our kitchen stools while I'm making dinner. I think it is really helping to strengthen his muscles needed to sit up to sit in this chair.

My son wants to be held ALL THE TIME. This, of course, is impossible. Anyways, this swing made it possible for me to get things done around the house.Cool things:-It plugs in!-You can turn the seat 360 degrees!-The chair rocks side to side or front to back!It always plays music and has a variety of soothing noises. It has six speeds.Oh and I am not the best when it comes to putting things together- it seriously took me less than 20 minutes and that's with my 3 year old "helping" (we all know what that means! LOL).I love this swing and would totally recommend it to others.

Attractive swing but not a fast swing

I was really excited to receive this swing. We had registered for one that swings front to back and takes batteries, and within 10 hours of use the batteries had run out. My husband and I decided that buying new batteries every week wasn't going to work for us, so I started researching swings that could be plugged in.When I found this swing, it seemed like a perfect option. It was gender neutral, plugged in, and had many swinging options. However, I should have been more concerned that the majority of the reviewers (at that time) were people EXPECTING babies but who had not yet had them and had therefore not yet tried the swing in a practical setting. They, too, were given the swing for free by the company to review.Because I always use Amazon's customer reviews to choose products, I decided I should write about the pros and cons of this swing, hoping to help others: I'll start with the cons since that list is longer.CONS- Despite what another reviewer said, this swing does not go back and forth like traditional swing. Yes, you can adjust the way the baby faces (up to four directions), but that does not change the fact that the swing moves in a side to side motion. Considering that I bought this swing thinking it could go front to back, this is a major con for us.- The highest speed is still incredibly slow. We've never used the lower settings because we don't see the point. I'd like to have more reasonable speed options.- The mobile bar is a bit pathetic. The two stars are velcroed on. And the bar doesn't fully collapse back, making it very difficult to get your child in and out of the swing without bopping his head. The mobile bar is removable, though, so that could be an option each time.- The footprint is pretty big. Luckily, though, the swing radius isn't much bigger so you can set the swing in one spot and expect for it not to take up much more space.- I'm not sure if it's how I assembled it, but it doesn't sit flat, causing it to flap around a bit against the floor every time it swings. We've put felt pads underneath the uneven parts to keep it steady and quiet.- There is no locking feature, so when you put your baby in or go to get your baby out, the chair still has some movement, making it more difficult. I'm sure most swings are like this but because it rocks side to side, not front to back, it's more pronounced and frustrating.PROS- As I chose this swing with a plug in mind, I love that there is the option to plug this swing in as opposed to using batteries only.- The design is pretty cute and gender neutral. We've had several people comment on the pattern and design, though I think most people have probably never seen a swing like this before, and so they like it more upon first glance.- It was extremely easy to put together. This is an important pro when all the other baby stuff we have has been impossible to put together. It probably took me 15 minutes total and that's because I was taking my time.- The music is nice and the control panel is easy to figure out without reading the book.We are considering craigslisting this swing so we can buy another. To be clear, I would not recommend it.I hope this review helps others make an informed choice about this swing. And hopefully if you choose it, it'll work wonderfully for you!

We have twins & being without this swing would be like cutting off your arms, neither one advised! LOVE is an understatement!

We have twins so to be without a swing would be similar to cutting off your arms and trying to care for a baby, neither one is advised! My son totally loves this, he loves the way it swings and the different sounds. We have been using this swing for a couple months now and love it! I would like to dispel some "Cons" by another reviewer. I will put their review in "quotations" and I will put mine after each statement in ***stars***."Despite what another reviewer said, this swing does not go back and forth like traditional swing. Yes, you can adjust the way the baby faces (up to four directions), but that does not change the fact that the swing moves in a side to side motion. Considering that I bought this swing thinking it could go front to back, this is a major con for us." ***Think about it. So it does go back & forth like a traditional swing but the seat is angled a bit different. Extremely pleased!

I initially purchased this positioner because my 2-month-old son was recently diagnosed with torticollis (he only wants to turn his head one way), which has caused a flat spot on the side of his head. We got this in hopes that it would keep his head from turning while he is in his car seat, bouncy seat, etc. Not only does it serve that purpose excellently, it also is apparently very comfortable, because he sleeps so peacefully on it! As soon as I put him down on it in his bouncy for nap time, he is asleep within seconds. I am thinking of purchasing a second one just so we don't have to move it back and forth from his car seat!

A must for all newborns!

No more "slumpy baby" thanks to the SnugginGo - the positioner has kept our daughter well supported and comfortable. It also allows for air to circulate behind her so we don't have a sweaty baby after long car rides. It's easy to fit to baby and takes seconds to switch from car seat to stroller - we have a Chicco KeyFit 30 and UppaBaby along with swings and bouncers. She loves the support and doesn't cry when being strapped in. We love that at only 5 weeks, she's developed her neck muscles to the point she can hold her head up by herself - I fully believe this is due to the support the SnugginGo gives her as she's not so tired or sore that she resists tummy time. The lumbar support and leg support also keep her hips aligned to be more comfortably buckled in. We'll be purchasing the SnugginGo Too for when she's older (12mo -5 years).

Travel helper

I bought this product prior to a 5-hour plane trip from Michigan to California, concerned about baby having to spend so much time in a car seat. It was worth it. My baby did not cry or fuss at all, and slept peacefully for most of the flight. I think the infant positioner had a lot to do with it, because I could see she was comfy and breathing well. Baby's posture also allowed me to feed her a bottle without having to remove her from the seat. At our destination, the positioner was used with the stroller, because baby was small for the stroller seat. With the Snuggin'Go, she would not "sink" in the seat, and the straps fit much better. 4 months later, baby is now bigger, but if the fit is ok, I plan on using it again on a coming 12-hour overseas plane trip.

Terrific smaller alternative with small caveats

We bought the FunPod on sale after having to return the very cool Learning Tower for being too large, heavy and cumbersome for our kitchen. This is a terrific smaller alternative that fits UNDER the island counter overhang, which means it juts out much less when not in use, in addition to having an overall smaller footprint. Our 19 month old is crazy about it, and still enjoys the novelty enough to just hang out at the island playing with things he'd quickly tire of on the floor or in his highchair. We get a good extra hour of kitchen puttering/prepping each weekend day with him happily in the mix, but contained. It's easy enough to move so that he can "help" us with tasks while we're cooking/baking or play at the sink. Seems perfectly sturdy, and though not particularly pretty -- finish seems indestructible. LOVES the FunPod.In the interest of balance, here are the places where the Learning Tower might come out ahead, though size/weight won out for us:1. The more manageable size means only one-kid-per-pod unless they were really squeezed in2) You obviously have to lift your child in and out of the FunPod b/c the sides aren't open for your child to climb in3) The closed in sides make it a little tougher to clean the platform as you have to reach down in, rather than in through the sides. You can quickly and easily pull the platform out to adjust height or clean, but...4) Stuff can get stuck between the platform and the unit when you try to pull it out -- so if its sticky food, you've just spread it. Or if it's something hard, it can get wedged between, making it tough to pull the platform out, and tough to reach down in to dislodge. (Our son was playing with dried beans, and a couple fell in and and got wedged.)Overall, though -- we're really happy with our FunPod. Our little guy thinks it's very cool and we're not tripping over, having to skirt, or smashing our feet into a giant base. Score.

Love our Little Helper Fun Pod!

We turned to the Little Helper FunPod because other options were too big and cumbersome for our kitchen. Its a fantastic solution if you are looking for something that will slide UNDER your kitchen island. For us, this means we can easily store the Pod out of the way when we are not using it and maximize room in our kitchen.Highlights:1) Smaller footprint: the Pod is smaller, lighter, and more compact.2) Well made and durable: we have had our Pod for close to a year and it gets heavy use from high-energy toddlers. The Pod is well made and very durable-- no quality complaints at all. The finish is pretty indestructible.3) Solid. This thing does not tip over or allow for crawling. It is really the safest option we could find.Things to keep in mind:1) Compact size means only ONE child can fit in the Pod at once. This is absolutely not large enough for more than one kiddo.2) You have to (obviously!) lift your kiddo into and out of the Pod. The sides are not open. This is perfect for us, as we were looking for a super safe option to contain our kiddo while working on art projects, water play at the sink, "helping" us cook, etc. But it is important to note before your purchase.Overall, we have been VERY pleased with our Pod and our little one loves it.

Well constructed

It's hard to believe that this is the only learning tower I could find with four solid sides. My 2 year old has a different tower with open sides, but she is old enough to climb in and out herself. We were looking for something my 15 month old could use and this was perfect. It is easy to put together, well constructed, and works for a variety of heights. The only drawback is that the space where the baby stands is pretty small so if he drops something inside, it is hard for him to get it himself (no room to bend down). Overall, very pleased and would recommend.
