Best baby invention in a long time!

I was on the waiting list for this product when I was pregnant. I bought it the minute it became available and don't regret it one bit. I keep it in my car, it's smaller than a fold up lawn chair and we use it for EVERYTHING. We use it at restaurants instead of those gross highchairs they provide. We also use it when eating outside or when visiting the inlaws. It's very sturdy and perfect for any and every use. We will use this forever.

EXCELLENT Customer Service! Great product!

I received the Ciao! Baby portable high chair and loved the product...it is such a boyishly cute chair! This was for my 10 mo old grandson! Anyway, received the chair and there was a cut in the seat that I did not notice until I turned it upside down to make sure all the crumbs were off the seat. I sent a email to company late that night and first thing the next morning, I had a reply!...and the reply said, I've shipped you a new chair and attahced a UPS label to this email so you can put the old chair in the box and return. What an awesome company. I did send her a email to let her know that many corporations could use her customer service expertise. Will absolutely buy from this company again! The chair is sturdy, with a wipe clean top! Entire chair is made of great material!

Good Chair

We like this chair and take it everywhere we go. I read the reviews before purchasing and found the same issues as others had posted. We'll start with the pros: says it's made in the USA, very lightweight and portable, tray has plastic over it for easy clean up, there's a cup holder, and it is very sturdy. The cons: overpriced (it's the same fabric as other camping chairs), the seatbelt design needs to be rethought (it's hard enough to get baby in without another person guiding the legs in, let alone try to slide the feet through the seatbelt leg loops first), the tray dips down so everything just slides right down into their lap.Another issue our chair had was that the stitching wasn't done properly - the leg hole area wasn't completely sewn to the seat. I would have sent it back for a new one, but we needed the chair the next day. Also, found a hole in the mesh of the cup holder. Alas, makes the $60 price point much too high! Don't people double check the quality before sending these out? I want to love this chair because I feel it is invaluable, but it's only getting four stars due to the sewing issues we had. I'd like to see some minor changes with the seat belt design and tray design (easy fixes in my eyes) and the cost needs to come down to $30-$40 to make this worth the value. Wish Ciao Baby would pay attention to the cons/complaints and make some adjustments to this product since they're the only company currently making these!

I took the plunge on a highchair with no reviews and...

I took the plunge on a highchair with no reviews and found myself pleasantly surprised. I was hesitant to jump the gun on this because it was new but after a couple weeks of use I have been very pleased with its mobility, comfort, and ease of use. One thing I would recommend is a floor mat to protect your floor from droppings. At about 10 months our daughter started dropping food on the floor when she was full. Great Chair!

When my oldest son was a baby, we bought this as a less-expensive, portable alternative to a high chair. He recently turned four, and has long since graduated to sitting at the table in a "real" chair, and his little brother, who just turned two, is now using it. It's been through a lot, and is still sturdy and strong.We have family in other states, and we take this seat with us when we visit. It is a big plus for us that it is relatively small and portable.It's also very easy to keep clean. All pads and straps are removable and can be washed with the laundry, and the tray and the bottom part of the seat can go in the dishwasher. The back and sides of the seat have been through the dishwasher once or twice as well, but it was necessary to remove the top rack to fit them in.The tray still snaps tight enough so that when my son hooks his toes under the edge and kicks, it still doesn't pop off.All in all, I am extremely happy with this chair and am planning on buying another, since our 6-month-old baby will be ready for his own seat too, before the middle child is quite ready for a regular seat at the table.

Very functional and cheap

We bought this because we were so nervious about our 11 month old boy bouncing/jumping so hard on his hook on chair! We have a Peg Perego high chair at Grandma's but personally, I think they are overpriced! I bought mine for $40 in Canada; Peg Perego's go for over $200 and the Fisher Price Space Saver is $70 locally.The good: I'm very happy with the booster seat so far. The plastic piece between the legs and the smaller seat depth help to prevent slouching, which was a big problem in our other, very old model Peg Perego. Also, he can get fidgety getting in/out of seats so having the "crotch block" gives me some reassurance. While he can sit independently on the floor, he seems much more comfortable (ie. doesn't squirm) in the slight recline position. Being able to adjust the tray position close to the belly has reduced the amount of crumbs I normally find on his lap. I like the 3 point belt since he doesn't need the upper body restraint; it's so much easier to put it on since I don't have to fight flailing arms! I thought I would really miss the castor wheels of a high chair, but the felt pads on the chair is sliding easily enough on our tiled floors. And, even though I'm feeding him from a counter height stool, it's not a strain on my body. (It is harder to see if there's food left in his mouth though, if he's willing to open up.)The bad: spot cleaning the fabric pad is not really adequate but at least it's easily removable to throw in the laundry. But to coordinate wash/drying time between meals isn't that convenient. Including 2 pads, or using stain resistant fabric or vinyl would be more practical. I don't think it's that portable and if it folded easily, I would be much more inclined to take it out. The recline buttons were very hard to hard but I figure once it's set, I'm unlikely to change it much. I was unable to insert the seat at the top position (no problem with the bottom) and not sure if mine happens to not line up properly. The plastic does seem a bit thin, but I suspect durability won't be an issue. The design is very basic, but so is the price! The tray mat is cheesy and I can't see myself using it. The tray seems a bit small which makes it easy to wash in the sink, but hope it's not going to be a problem when I'm feeding a toddler. Same goes with cup holder. A gimmick or useful feature? Don't know as first time mom. My son is a kicker and likes to brace his legs against the tray edge; I sure hope the tray doesn't warp and become loose in time but from another person's review, it seems to be okay.I was intending to buy the Fisher Price Space Saver booster seat because of the reviews. When I saw how narrow the seat was, I reluctantly passed on it. Baby's 25 lbs at 11 months and I couldn't see how the chair would fit much longer! I also read the armrests on the FP were so high that they prevented the chair from going under the dining table! I'm glad this model doesn't have armrests..what for???

Great feeding chair!!

Whoever said this chair falls apart obviously didn't put it together the right way to begin with. We have had this for over 7 months and used it on a daily basis, and have NEVER had any problems with it. It is VERY convenient, and great for places that don't have room for a high chair. Converts to a toddler seat, and WOW what a great price! 5 stars all the way on this one! Great price, great convenience, and great quality. There are different seat patterns and are very gender neutral, which is GREAT! Would definately recommend!

Rational comparison between this and Cooshie Booster

Hi, as there are many confusing reviews, I want to help clarify the difference between this booster and the Cooshie, as I own both. Compared to the Cooshie, the Lionheart booster:- Ships in an inoffensive but not-exactly-attractive lime green. Fortunately the photo has been updated from the blue.- Is made of a more rigid, but still pliable, foam rubber. It is not likely to tear the way the Cooshies do.- Is not a flat surface on the bottom like the Cooshie. It rests on molded, structural spines and has four small rubber feet to aid grip lost to the reduced surface area. Grip seems comparable.- Elevates the sitter to a similar height.- Has some kind of matte coating over the main, shinier material. The coating has started to peel a bit where it has been scratched, though the underlying color is identical so it isn't very noticeable. (If you happen to own a Volkswagen you'll know exactly what I mean.)- Includes a carry bag.- Is manufactured in Canada.Based on my priorities, as well as the not inconsiderable fact that it's cheaper, I prefer it to the Cooshie and plan to replace our torn Cooshie with another one of these. You can make your own decision but I hope I have helped.

The BEST Booster Seat I have found.....My kids love it!

First of all, I am more than pleased with this Booster Seat. I had a Cooshie Booster for my first child; I am sorry to say it did not make it to my second! Both the Cooshie and the Prince Lionheart Booster seat are identical in height, and both my children find it quite comfortable. Of course at 2 and 4, they really aren't THAT particular with where they sit!! I especially like the travel bag that comes with the Soft Booster Seat. I normally don't write reviews, but I feel this is one product that deserves all the praise it can get!!

Soo glad we discovered this booster!

Our son always enjoyed sitting at the table with us since he was in his high chair. We just pulled the high chair up to the table and lowered it a little to make it fit. But he would either not squeeze in all the way, or would be too low. So, we needed to find a solution. I was going to buy the cooshie booster, but found this at the store instead. I loved the idea that you could use it on outdoor furniture too (the cooshie booster didn't mention it--so I gave this one a try). My son seems very comfortable in it and has never argued about sitting in it at meal times (we got the booster shortly after his first birthday). I have had no trouble with this booster. It fits on any chair and doesn't slip (not even on the wooden surface of my kitchen chairs). It's easy to clean and carry anywhere. And now my son is at the perfect height to eat at the table with us indoors and outdoors. I would definitely make this purchase again if I needed more than one booster in the house!

I was going back and forth between this and the bumbo seat and I love this one!!! It seems sturdier and my baby loves to sit in it. It is a must have for baby to sit in play or watch a DVD while I get some work done.
